Why Orange?

It's 14 years since I coined the name OrangeDreams to showcase my photography. It was 2010, and I was working for an IT company in Jaipur. I wanted to practice photography but didn't have the money to buy a DSLR, that's when I approached the founders (It was a start-up with about 40 employees when I joined, today it is 4000+ globally, I guess). I got an advance and invested in my first-ever DSLR Nikon 3100☺️. That was the start of my dream! My first step towards learning, creating, and shaping OrangeDreams!

- Why the name OrangeDreams?
- Why Orange and not blue, red, green, etc. while all the colors are great orange matched with what I wanted to do while showcasing my clicks. I had no idea I'd start a firm by that name someday!

So, why Orange? I still get this question from many inquisitive clients, and hence I thought of documenting it here.
Orange, in all its forms, is deeply symbolic.
As a fruit, it represents vitality, health, and refreshment—an essence of life itself.
As a color, it stands for creativity, warmth, and enthusiasm.
Orange is also the hue of fire, sparking passion and energy.
In many cultures, it holds a sacred significance, symbolizing spiritual awakening and transformation.

When applied to OrangeDreams, a fine art photography studio, the name becomes even more powerful.

Orange here represents a vibrant mix of life’s most essential qualities—energy, creativity, and a sacred connection to deeper meaning. Just like the fruit revitalizes, the studio breathes life into moments through its art. The color conveys a warmth that translates into inviting, intimate, and emotional captures, while the fiery undertones of orange suggest a deep passion for the craft.
